Cover and spot illustrations for for the essay “Out of the hamster wheel, but inside the economy” featured in Atlas Magazine and written by Christian Steentofte Andersen. About how Copenhagen has evolved during the last 20 years, seen through the lens of literature written in this period of time.
The cover illustration portrays the meat packing district which used to be a working class environment. Now, however, it has evolved into a hipster paradise of restaurants and clubs. The essay discusses how as Copenhagen becomes more and more expensive and geared towards accommodating the creative class, the city risks to loose its’ diversity which made it interesting in the first place.
